Count your blessings and pass it on. There are many people out there that need support. Small gestures on your part can make a great difference in someone’s life – young or old. Volunteering shows us how fortunate we are. It gives us a greater appreciation of what we have.
Definition of Human Care
The basic objective of this ministry is to reach out to the community with love and a helping hand that reflects our faith in Jesus Christ.
The Missions of our Human Care Ministry
Purchase backpacks and fill with donated school supplies for children in need at OSLC campus, YWCA, YMCA, Bear Creek and Frontier Elementary Schools.
Gifts for the King
Organize Christmas gift distribution for OSLC home-bound members as well as needy children at Frontier Elementary School.
Collect and send new/used eyeglasses and sunglasses to MOST Ministries in Ann Arbor MI to be used in mission work inside and outside the USA.
Collect and distribute groceries for Thanksgiving dinner to needy families at OSLS, YWCA, and Frontier and Bear Creek Elementary Schools.
- Set up the reception area in Wegner Hall.
- Serve donated baked goods and beverages at funeral receptions.
- Clean up afterwards.

We meet every 1st Monday of the month, from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Library at Wegner Hall. (Unless the 1st Monday is a holiday, then it is the 2nd Monday. Call 727.432.7534 to confirm we have a meeting.)
