Solomon’s Castle the home and studio of internationally known sculptor Howard Solomon. The Castle built by the artist’s own hands contains galleries of his art and more than eighty interpretive stained glass windows. A new building containing seventy more pieces from the last ten years of Howard’s life works, and also houses his collection of thirteen pre 1935 automobiles. The Saint Petersburg Preservation Society, now known as the “Preserve the ‘Burg”, will lead this two-hour walking tour of our city’s downtown area. Learn the history of our town with a casual walk through it. “Preserve the ‘Burg” provides an excellent guide to answer your questions and point out interesting landmarks. St. Petersburg Museum of History

The Saint Petersburg Museum of History is located at the entrance of our new Pier. It was founded in 1920 and is the oldest museum in Pinellas County. It houses artifacts, photos of early St. Petersburg and also an exhibit on the beginning of commercial air travel. A Benoist XIV biplane hangs from the ceiling entrance.
