In this day and age, the hopefulness and optimism that’s shared in the gospel seem to be farther and farther away from the world in which we currently live. There comes a time when we need to take stock of ourselves and remember Christ’s call for us to be peacekeepers and fishers of men. And while the physical reality might seem to be tumultuous from time to time, the spiritual one is alive and well and exemplified at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Seeing the pain and hurt that the world is in, we feel that Christ calls us to take action and do our part to be the change we want to see. And this is why we have outreach programs that are meant to help the community that we call home and missions that take the gospel to the four corners of the globe to heal those who are hurting and need a helping hand.
Of course, change starts with softening our own hearts and working on ourselves as followers of Christ. While we all have the desire to heal the community and the world, healing ourselves is the first step to enacting the change that’s necessary. The ministries that we offer at our location are meant to enhance our spiritual awakening and allow us to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. All age groups are encouraged to attend and strengthen their bond with our Lord and Savior.
When Martin Luther initiated the Protestant Reformation, he did so to separate from many of the dogmatic principles that were heavily tied to the Catholic faith. And this principle is adhered to us, which is why we offer two distinctive Sunday services. At 8:00 AM, we have a traditional Lutheran service which is followed by a more modern service at 10:00 AM. Just as God gave his children free will, we give our parishioners the choice of which service they would like to attend.
If you’ve been feeling like you’re being called for a more fulfilling existence, one that is dedicated to following Christ’s example, then we would love nothing more than to see you. Refill your cup and drink from the good that exists within Christ’s message.
