There are many people out there that need support.  Small gestures on your part can make a great difference in someone’s life – young or old.

Volunteering shows us how fortunate
we are. It gives us a greater appreciation of what we have.

Definition of Human Care

The basic objective of this ministry is to reach out to the community with love and a helping hand that reflects our faith in Jesus Christ.

The Missions of our Human Care Board

Funeral Receptions

  • Set up the reception area in
    Wegner Hall.
  • Serve donated baked goods and beverages at funeral receptions.
  • Clean up afterwards.


Purchase backpacks and fill with donated school supplies for children in need at both OSLC campuses, YWCA, YMCA, Bear Creek and Frontier Elementary Schools

Eyeglass Collection

Collect and send new/used eyeglasses and sunglasses to
MOST Ministries in Ann Arbor MI to be used in mission work inside and outside the USA.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Collect  and distribute groceries for
Thanksgiving  dinner to needy families at OSLS, EB early childhood center, YWCA, and Frontier and Bear Creek Elementary Schools.

Gifts for the King

Organize Christmas gift distribution for OSLC homebound members as well as needy children at Frontier Elementary School.

We meet on every 1st Monday of the month from  6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Library at Wegner Hall. (Unless the 1st Monday is a holiday, then it is the 2nd Monday. Call  727-432-7534 to confirm that we have a meeting.)

If you can not come to our meeting but are interested in serving, please fill out the form and place it in the collection plate/basket. One of our members will contact you.
